Inclusion Criteria

Every maker listed here meets a clear set of requirements:

• They build kitchen cabinets by hand in their own UK workshop
• They are a registered business with a verifiable physical address
• They have a public-facing website and portfolio of completed projects
• They are not a reseller, franchise, or retailer of another manufacturer's products

Editorial Independence

No maker can pay for a higher position in search results or pay for a more favourable description. Listing order is determined by the editorial team based on quality, craftsmanship, and geographic diversity — not on commercial relationships.

Listing descriptions are written by our team, not by the makers themselves. Where a maker has claimed their listing, they can update factual details (website, showroom locations, contact information), but editorial descriptions remain under our control.

Where featured or premium placements exist, they are clearly identified. Editorial judgement is never influenced by a maker's commercial relationship with the directory.

Verification Process

Before any maker is published, we verify their workshop location, review their portfolio, and confirm they manufacture their own products. Listings are marked as verified only after this process is complete. We periodically re-check listings to ensure information remains accurate.

Reviews

All buyer reviews are verified against project records before publication. We require proof of purchase — typically an invoice or order confirmation — to prevent fake reviews. Makers can respond to reviews, and those responses are moderated to the same standard.

We do not use star ratings. Instead, reviews focus on specific project details — scope, budget, lead time, and a written account of the experience. This gives prospective buyers genuinely useful information.
